Alta Video — 2199: Vulnerabilities in crypto/x509, crypto/tls, cmd/go, cmd/compile, and archive/tar in Go before before 1.26.2 and Go 1.25.9

Overview

Multiple security vulnerabilities were discovered in Go versions prior to 1.26.2 and 1.25.9. These included a critical memory corruption vulnerability (CVE-2026-27143) within the compiler and an arbitrary code execution vulnerability (CVE-2026-27140) exploitable during build time. Several high-severity denial-of-service vulnerabilities were also identified, impacting TLS, certificate validation, and tar archive processing. Furthermore, a cross-site scripting vulnerability (CVE-2026-32289) and a symlink traversal issue (CVE-2026-32282) were present.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Alta Video Beta upgrade channel version 8.2.4 and Stable upgrade channel version 8.1.10.

It is highly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Alta Video Cloud on  27th April 2026. Alta Video Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.

This issue has been fixed in Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras Beta upgrade channel version 8.2.4 and Stable upgrade channel version 8.1.10.

It is highly recommended that all Avigilon Cloud-Native camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface for Avigilon Cloud-Native cameras and the Avigilon Cloud-Native Camera Interface for unmanaged cameras.
